PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Eagles fans have a little more pep in their step following Monday night's big win against Washington.

A few weeks back, Eagles fans at 30th Street Station sounded off after the Birds' embarassing loss to the Saints. It wasn't pretty. People were already looking to next year.

But after Monday's win, people are singing a different tune.

"Feel great about it now," said Joe. "Back in the middle of things now. Beat the Cowboys next week, we're in the playoffs, back in first place. Can't wait."

Nick Rosa hopped on a train Tuesday morning back home to New York, just hours after being at the Linc in South Philly for the Eagles win against Washington.

"After winning the Super Bowl last year, there were a lot of high expectations. And being able to bounce back from a pretty rocky start, I think, is a really encouraging thing," Rosa said.

He says this season hasn't been the prettiest, but you can't count out the Eagles just yet.

"I think we're always written off historically. Nobody's ever expected us to be that team. We were last year and even after we won the Super Bowl, still nobody expected us to be back and I think we've given ourselves an opportunity to do that."

Up next: the Dallas Cowboys. And another fan, Joe, can't wait.

"We gotta beat them Cowboys," Joe said. "I'd like to say what I say about Dallas but we can't say that on the radio, right?"

And as with last season, fans say you can't forget about the underdog.
