PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — While the Phillies continue their road trip, Citizens Bank Park will be opening its doors this weekend to thousands of beer, wine and cocktail lovers.

The third annual All-Star Craft Beer, Wine, and Cocktail Festival is an immersive event. The park was the first to try the stadium-festival concept, and the idea has become so popular that others in Pittsburgh, Texas and Minnesota have created their own versions.

Event organizer Ray Sheehan said there's a lot to do: "You get to walk the bases, take a selfie in the dugout, head up to the Hall of Fame Club, look at the World Series trophy, go outside the ballpark. There's just gonna be so many things to do here."

Of course, the No. 1 activity will be drinking all the samples. More than 250 breweries will be represented. But Sheehan said there's also plenty of wine and liquor to taste.

"You'll have some local wineries that are in our own backyard; clearly you're gonna have some from Napa Valley, so I would say this event is broken up — think of it this way, 60 percent craft beer and then 20 percent wine and then 20 percent liquor."

The now sold-out festival runs from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
