PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- This was opening weekend for the Made In Philadelphia Holiday Market at City Hall and the Christmas Village in LOVE Park.

About two million people are expected to pass through LOVE Park's Christmas Village and City Hall's Made In Philadelphia Holiday Market this season and both had a strong showing on their opening weekend.

"We went across there and we came back over here,” said one woman. “They have these amazing apple cider drinks with caramel and whipped cream and cinnamon on top."

All the shopping and drinking and eating got folks in a festive mood.

"I'm so excited, I can't wait for Christmas,” said another visitor. “I know we haven't even hit Thanksgiving yet, but I can't wait for Christmas."

Many agree that this is a great place to do your shopping.

"I always love the booth on the corner right on the opposite side of the skate rink,” said one woman.  “That always has awesome hats and scarves."

"I'm in the market for a hat so hopefully I see one that really tickles my fancy a little bit and I can give them some business, but just the overall variety of things that are here it's really awesome," said another man.

You can also stop into the Ice Rink, the Winter Garden, the Carousel or the German Ski Lodge-themed beer garden.

"When there's a little snow on the ground this is going to look so beautiful and lovely with all the lights and decorations," he added.
