Extended version of 'A Star Is Born' hits theaters for one week only

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio)Maybe it's time to see Jack and Ally again.

Whether you've never seen the award-winning film or you have the duet "Shallow" prepared for any spontaneous karaoke moment, moviegoers will have the chance to see an extended version of "A Star Is Born" in theaters for one week only.

Beginning Friday at more than 1,150 theaters in the U.S. and Canada, you can catch an encore version of the movie with an additional 12 minutes of footage.

The special edition — starring Bradley Cooper as Jack and Lady Gaga as Ally — shows extended musical performances for songs like "Black Eyes"; "Alibi"; Jack in his studio singing "Too Far Gone"; Jack and Ally writing a new song together called "Clover"; and an extended clip of Gaga's impromptu a cappella performance of "Shallow."

The song "Is That Alright?" — it missed the cut in the film's original release — will also be shown, which Gaga's character sings to Cooper's in the wedding sequence.

Gaga took home the Oscar for Best Original Song for "Shallow," as well as a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media. She was also nominated for at the Academy Awards for Best Actress in her first leading role in a major motion picture.
