PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This week on Flashpoint: Host and KYW Community Affairs reporter Cherri Gregg asks the burning questions about state of the American worker. For months, statistics like the unemployment rate, worker shortage and other indicators show that the economy is booming. But, how are wage workers doing? Many Americans are suffering from stagnant wages and tough working conditions. John Dodds, executive director of the Philadelphia Unemployment Project joins Dr. Lynne Anderson, professor at Temple University's Fox School of Business and Emily Guendlesberger, the author of "One the Clock, who traveled the country working low wage jobs.

The “news maker” of the week is Democratic Pennsylvania Rep. Madeleine Dean. She is one of four freshman congresswomen from Pennsylvania. Dean is on the powerful Judiciary Committee and made headlines when she questioned Robert Mueller regarding the Mueller report. She explains what her top priorities are for the new House Session and why she's headed back to Capitol Hill a week early.
