Americans are used to their freedom and ability to connect and gather, but local and national authorities have implemented social distancing policies.
What does it all mean? How do we implement the restrictions and stay sane?
Dr. Carolyn Cannusico, director of research at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Public Health Initiatives, and Dr. Frank Farley, professor of psychological studies in education at Temple University, dig deep on the whys behind the health protocols and the nation's response to it. They also give advice.
The newsmaker of the week is liability due to COVID-19 restrictions. Former Philadelphia City Solicitor Shelley Smith, an attorney at Archer & Greiner and a member of their coronavirus task force, provides insight on some of the hot legal issues related to the coronavirus crisis.
She also looks at business and personal liability for those who refuse to comply with government directives.
The Patriot Homecare Changemaker of the week is a group of Temple University Students that are not letting coronavirus restrictions stop their efforts to promote participation in the U.S. Census.
Instead of hitting the streets, they have stepped up efforts online. Professor David Brown, program coordinator, joins student campaign leader Lauryn Edmondson.
