CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — Sunday marks five years since the body of a Camden County woman was found near her apartment complex, days after she disappeared.

The case remains unsolved, but investigators say they need someone to come forward.

Carol Reiff was reported missing on June 21, 2013 by her daughter. Four days later, police discovered the 59-year-old's body at the Gloucester Township's Lakeview Apartment complex, where she lived — only about a quarter of a mile away.

"She was located in a heavily brushed area," said Detective Michael Leach. "She appeared to propped up against a tree."

Reiff was described as very friendly, someone who would talk to anybody.

Leach, the lead investigator for the case, said she was last seen walking into her apartment after coming home from work.

"Officers went inside the apartment, everything looked normal. The windows were secured, locked. The door was secured, locked," he added.

Her keys were inside, too — but her purse and cellphone were missing. Reiff's car was also parked in her normal spot.

Now, Leach said, the smallest amount of information from the public could help them solve the mystery.

"We had no suspicious activity. Nothing was reported to us," he said. "Nobody came forward with any information."

There is $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
