PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- If you are someone who likes to exercise there is excellent news. A study in the Journal Lancet Psychiatry conducted at Yale University has found that regular exercise may actually have a greater impact on psychological health then physical well being.

We already know the advantages of exercise from a physical standpoint, but the fact that exercise may do a better job with our mental approach to life is yet another reason to encourage all of us to get out and get moving.

In case you were wondering, the study found the greatest benefit in people who participated in team sports. If you think about it, team sports provide physical activity, as well as interaction with others in a social setting.

For those of you would like to exercise alone, aerobic and gym exercise were the most effective form of independent exercise.
