PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Right across from the Christmas Village is the Made in Philadelphia holiday market  and it's one of the many attractions that bring people into the city at this time of year.

"The restaurants, the atmosphere, the people, it's just a great time of year to be here," said Chris from Lansdale.

He was among the crowds shopping at the Made in Philadelphia holiday market. Many of the vendors who have booths also sell on the internet to people around the country.

"I'm selling while she is baking," said Mary Jean Feld.

She was manning the booth for her daughter Keri, who is the owner and baker for Picket Fence Confections. They make beautifully decorated cookies in all holiday shapes and sizes and this is the busy season.

“It depends on what she has to get ready for the next day,” she explained. “Sometimes she's up to two or three am baking, and then she is back up at seven."

Another popular vendor, Good Boy Biscuits and Bones had Roseanne Goodwin manning the booth.

"It's all natural dog treats,” she said. “No salt, sugar, wheat, preservatives of any kind.

Everything you see here is one or two ingredients only. We have jerky, muffins, all kind of bones, toys."

The KYW canine chorus was so excited to hear about the dog booth that they are planning a field trip!
