PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- The first thing you might notice about Chris, if you meet him, is his favorite hat.

"It's a Philadelphia Police hat," Chris said. "One of my friends from the Philadelphia Police Department gave that hat to me and I really enjoy wearing it."

He wants to be a police officer when he grows up, and he likes his hat so much it's part of his Halloween costume.

He's going to be a "SWAT guy."

"It has army pants and it comes with a black shirt," Chris said, "and it has a little badge on it."

This energetic 11-year-old also loves football. His favorite team is the New York Giants. And at recess, he loves throwing around the pig skin.

"I like to score touchdowns," Chris said. "And when I score touchdowns I like to do dances."

His social worker, Heather Tilghman, says Chris needs a forever family who will help him maintain contact with someone very special to him: his former foster mother.

"She's been a very positive connection for him," Tilghman said, "and he's able to go visit with her."

And Heather loves to brag that Chris is an A and B student and a consistent member of the honor roll.
