PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Whether it's through her poetry or through her movement, 14-year-old Grace loves to express herself.

"I express my feelings more when I do ballet, but hip hop — I like the beat to it," Grace says.

She says her curiosity drives her, "maybe like travel to new places, try new things, because I love that."

When she grows up, she wants to use her life experience to inspire others.

"(I want) to be like a positive speaker — like an advice speaker to other people who are like me and who ended up like me. And I could talk to them about how I went through this," she says.

She wants to find a forever family that she can connect with and open up to.

"For my forever family, I think about ... that they understand me. And we can have healthy communication," she says. 

For Christmas, she says she'd like a new journal, but she's also looking for something more meaningful — something more difficult to put on a wish list.

"One that I really want to have is, like, support and love from somebody. I just want an inspiring person to come and just tell me stuff that can actually help me in the future," she says.
