PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Kim is 14, and she loves K-pop music.

In fact, she says it was a theme in her Christmas presents.

"(I got) K-pop albums, posters, shoes, jacket, t-shirt and like little cards and stuff," she said.

When she's not listening to her favorite bands, she loves to read.

Autobiographies are her favorite. She says some of her favorite topics include Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and Rosa Parks.

"Because they have true things about them," Kim said. "It's not fake stories that they make up. They tell true stories about them."

Kim is looking for a forever family. Her social worker, Emily Naylor, says Kim would love a family that can introduce her to new experiences: "You know, things like concerts. She really likes learning about cultures and languages."

Naylor says Kim has one request: She'd like an older brother.

She adds, laughing, "I really think she would do well in a variety of kinds of families as long as they take her to concerts at some point."
