PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- A local holistic health coach is hosting a week-long kids' culinary summer camp starting Monday, July 9 at Reading Terminal Market.

The culinary camp is called "Oh, How Healthy" and it's run by Jamie Zwier. She shows kids ages kindergarten through 8th grade how navigate the kitchen.

"I have child-safe knives, or I show them how to use a butterknife. I show them how to properly hold it, how we don't have to use ovens or stovetops, so it empowers them."

And she focuses on fresh fruits and vegetables.

"Initially, they say, 'I don't like it. I don't like raisins, I don't like kale.' But I just encourage you to try it -- and they're like, 'I never used to like carrots!'"

Her culinary camp is also an educational week.

"I show them the different tastebuds that they have on their mouth and how to make a food taste really good by utilizing all the -- salty, sweet, sour -- all those different tastes."

Zwier explains that she teaches the kids not only how to make healthy food and snacks but also sauces and dressings.

"So instead of the artificially made dressings, I made a honey mustard dressing that is simply just honey and mustard; and they're like, 'What?  I'm not mixing honey and mustard together,' and I'm like, 'Just try it!'"

Next week will be Zwier's fourth time running the camp. What's her favorite part?

"Enjoying the kids and seeing their faces as they like a food that they didn't think that they liked."
