PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- A local pizzeria is getting in the spirit of Pride Month. It's extended its limited edition "Pride Pies" through this weekend.

Street artist Ambrella, known for her heart candy shaped designs with inspirational messages written on them throughout the city, has teamed up with Pizzeria Vetri for Pride Month.

"So we created a rainbow box that has a heart on it that says, "Choose Love,"' Ambrella said.

Inside the keepsake box is an "arco bellino" pizza, which translates to "rainbow" in Italian.

"There's charred baby carrots, pine nut pesto, Stracciatella cheese, parmesano and red vein sorrel," Ambrella said.

Pizzas are $17 with one dollar per pizza going to the Philly Pride and Capital Pride DC organizations.

"But we also wanted to take it a step further and just share the message of how do you choose love everyday," Ambrella explained, "so we had a competition where people could share a photo and a story."

Those messages can be found on Istragram under the hashtag #PVChooselove. As for why Ambrella loves the Pride Pies collaboration with Pizzeria Vetri:

"I try to live my everyday life really choosing love," she said, "and I do believe that that affects how you interact with people and how you feel about yourself, and so it's really special to just really get to share such a big message on a pizza box, and I love pizza!"
