PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- The Food Bank of Southern New Jersey was on the recieving end of a massive food donation Wednesday morning.

A Goya Foods truck was at the Pennsauken facility at 8 a.m. sharp, so workers could unload more than 51,000 pounds of food that was collected as part of the Goya Gives 'Can Do' Campaign.

Food Bank Spokeswoman Lauren Hann says the facility handles about 11 million pounds of food annually.

"So 51,000 pounds of food for us is a great donation and really makes a giant impact for our annual contribution to the people in need in our area," she said.

The Food Bank of Southern New Jersey distributes food to nearly 200,000 people in Burlington, Gloucester, Camden and Salem Counties each year.
