As Labor Day ends, beachgoers look forward to smaller crowds

MARGATE, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — With the beginning of Labor Day comes the end of beach season for many down the shore, though that's not the case for everyone.
Shannon Barley marked her final beach trip Monday in Margate. She's disappointed the summer season is at its end.
"It's sad, but the beach is always a nice way to wrap things up," she said. "I'm glad we could get out here and had food, weather for it too."
It’s the end of shore season for some enjoying this beautiful beach day in Margate. But others tell us September is actually the best time to head down the shore #LaborDay @KYWNewsradio pic.twitter.com/oZ6xzNhEUZ

Beachgoer John Burke has been loving the Labor Day weekend weather as well.
"This is beautiful. It's been nice the last few days," he added.
He hopes to see more days like this ahead because his beach season isn't over just yet.
"We're actually looking forward to September when it's less crowded and we still have great days in the summer."
He said any Jersey shore local would agree.
