PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- For men with prostate cancer, the emotional toll of the disease often can be greater than its physical impact.

That's according to a new survey by Philadelphia-based Health Union.

Among the top "daily frustrations" for the respondents: "sexual dysfunction, bladder control, not knowing the future, and not feeling like a man."

Then, there's the shock factor of the diagnosis: most say they'd learned of their prostate cancer diagnosis during an appointment for a separate medical issue.

The company has launched a website to educate and connect patients at ProstateCancer.net.
