1 Dead, 4 Injured In Crash Along Roosevelt Boulevard

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- One person is dead and four others were injured Sunday morning in a crash along Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened around 7 a.m. when three vehicles collided in the outer lanes near Tyson Avenue in the city's Mayfair section.

Police say a female passenger in a Nissan Rouge was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 34-year-old man was taken to the hospital with a broken leg and a 62-year-old man was hospitalized with a head injury. They were both listed in stable condition.

Authorities say two other passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The accident forced the closure of all northbound lanes, inner and outer drives, between Harbison and Tyson Avenues for about four hours.

The cause of crash is under investigation.
