NORTH PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities are looking for multiple men they say opened fire in North Philadelphia over the weekend, striking five people, one of which was a 5-year-old boy.

Now, one of the victims has died.

Around 11:45 Saturday night, Philadelphia Police Homicide Capt. John Ryan said a group of four to five men opened fire at 20th Street and Susquehanna Avenue.

The intended target: 21-year-old Kameron Gilfillian.

"They hit and killed him. A lot of rounds went down range. They wounded three other men in their 40s and shot a 5-year-old boy in his knee," Ryan said. "One of the 40-year-old men is still in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his chest."

Ryan said more than 40 rounds were fired. He called the other four victims innocent bystanders, since the shots were fired all in "one direction, nobody was firing back."

The search continues for those responsible.

"We're pursuing every lead possible, including video and interviewing witnesses," he added.

Police are asking anybody with information to come forward.
