13-year-old boy stabbed at Philly school in stable condition

Another student is in custody, and the weapon has been recovered.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 13-year-old boy was stabbed at a North Philadelphia school this morning, and another student is in custody.

The School District of Philadelphia says it happened at the William Dick school at 24th and Diamond streets around 11 a.m.

Police say the boy was stabbed once in the stomach and was rushd to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The weapon was recovered.
