EXTON, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) —  The Whole Foods in Exton, Chester County is getting a new neighbor.

Actually, hundreds of them.

A six-story, 342-unit apartment building is coming to a portion of what used to be the Kmart property at Exton Square Mall, along Routes 30 and 100.

The real estate investment trust PREIT says it's completed the sale of the four acre parcel to Hanover Company. That's the same firm that put up apartments in the King of Prussia Town Center, a bustling mixed-use residential and retail development in Montgomery County.

Construction on the Exton project is expected to begin before the end of the year.
