4 suspects charged in death of Millville football coach

Two other suspects are accused of hindering apprehension and lying to police.

MILLVILLE, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — Four people are in custody in Cumberland County, New Jersey, in connection with the August murder of a Millville Midget Football League coach.

County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, in a press release, announced the arrests of 42-year-old Eugene Cosby of Malaga and 22-year-old Will El-Bay of Vineland. 

They are charged with homicide and conspiracy in the death of 37-year-old Joseph Jones, the coach of the Millville Midget football team. He was shot to death outside the Lakeside Middle School on Aug. 9.

Two other suspects, Genea Hughes-Lee and Tyrell Hart, are accused of hindering apprehension and lying to police.

Webb-McRae credits a two-month probe by state and local police, along with detectives from her office, for the arrests.
