November 10, 2018 - 1:33 pm

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Help is on the way for Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and company.

In a deal first reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday, the 76ers have agreed to a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves that would bring Jimmy Butler to Philadelphia.

The terms of the deal are not official, but indications are that the Sixers have agreed to send Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Jerryd Bayless and a future second-round pick to Minnesota for Butler and forward Justin Patton.

Butler, a four-time NBA All-Star, is averaging just over 21 points per game this season, and more than 16 points per game for his career.

Team sources confirmed the deal to KYW Newsradio Sixers reporter Jon Johnson.

A trade call is expected on Monday.
