90-year-old struck by car on Roosevelt Boulevard

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police say a 90-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a car on Roosevelt Boulevard Friday morning. 

Police say the elderly man walked into oncoming traffic in the southbound lanes of the boulevard near Faunce Street shortly before 10 a.m. He was promptly struck by a sedan. 

The driver did stop at the scene and cooperated with police in their investigation.

The victim was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.
