ALLENTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — An Allentown man who fled to Mexico with a 16-year-old girl has been sentenced to prison.

Federal agents found now 46-year-old Kevin Esterly and 16-year-old Amy Yu in Playa del Carmen in March, two weeks after they disappeared from Allentown.

A Lehigh County judge sentenced Esterly — a then-married father of four daughters, ranging in age from 3 to 15 — Monday to two-and-a-half to five years in prison, adding that he ruined two families due to his actions.

The two denied a sexual relationship, according to The Morning Call. Esterly struck a deal to drop felony charges, including registering as a sex offender, in exchange for pleading guilty to the corruption of minors — a first-degree misdemeanor.
