Authorities suspect road rage in City Avenue car crash

One driver is injured. Police are looking for the driver of the second vehicle.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are searching for the driver who drove off after an accident along City Avenue Thursday night that resulted in a car being overturned and crashed in a parking lot. One person was injured.

Authorities believe road rage may have played a role.  

Lt. John Walker told CBS-3 that witnesses reported two cars had been cutting off one another before the accident.

The driver in the crashed vehicle is a 22-year-old male, Walker said. "He had to be extracated by medical personnel. He's over at Lankanau in critical condition."

Walker says the two cars may have been going back and forth for about two miles before it escalated to an accident.
