PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A baby boy is recovering, and police are investigating, after the infant was found unresponsive in a bathtub Wednesday in Chester County.

The baby is less than a year old, according to Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan, and he was found in a home on Conestoga Road in Devon, Hogan unconcisous after something happened in the bathtub.

The 911 call came in around 3 p.m.

"Police and EMS responded immediately. The child was unresponsive when they got there. They immediately started life-saving procedures. The child was revived but immediately taken to the hospital in very serious condition," Hogan told CBS 3 Eyewitness News.

"At this point, it's a very preliminary investigation to find out exactly what happened to the child before the emergency responders got there."

Easttown Township Police and Chester County detectives are trying to sort out what exactly happened. They were at the house Wednesday afternoon into the evening hours.

Hogan says the baby's parents were at the hospital and there was no mention of charges.
