Bensalem police looking for one of two cars that struck, killed man

BENSALEM, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Bensalem Police are investigating a deadly accident on Street Road near I-95. Police say a man was hit by two cars while crossing the street early Wednesday morning.

Police say around 5:30 a.m., a man was in the crosswalk on Street Road at Brookwood Drive trying to get to a 7-Eleven. The man had a red light. And police say a car that had a green light hit the man then a utility pole and a gas station sign.

Then, police say, a second car hit the victim. The driver pulled over in a nearby parking lot, got out of the car frantically, made a phone call, then drove off again.

Police released an image of the car Wednesday afternoon that they believe was involved in the incident.

They ask anyone with information to give them a call at 215-633-3719. 

The first driver did not appear to be drunk, police say. That person stayed and talked to the cops.
