Bodies of married couple pulled from Delaware River; 5-year-old daughter found nearby

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The bodies of a married couple were pulled from the Delaware River Thursday morning, hours apart, and Philadelphia police say they found their child nearby inside a car.

Authorities pulled the woman's body from the river, near the Residences at Dockside apartment complex on Columbus Boulevard, just before 6 a.m. 

Police found a 5-year-old girl nearby inside an SUV, who told them she was with her father.

Police took her to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to be checked out, and then they started looking for the father. They first went went to his home, but hours later, around 11 a.m., the Philadelphia Police Department's Marine Unit pulled the man's body from the river. 

Officers say the two — later identified as 28-year-old Anjania Patterson and 39-year-old Timothy Siler — were married.

South Detectives are trying to piece together what happened.
