PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two teenagers were among the victims of a triple shooting on a residential street in Philadelphia's Graduate hospital area Monday afternoon. Police say one of those teens is in critical condition.

As people were getting home from work Monday afternoon, they'd walk up to the police tape blocking off Fitzwater Street at 22nd Street and ask “what happened?”

Their jaws would drop as they learned there was a triple shooting on this residential street in the middle of the afternoon, around 3 p.m.

“I’ve lived in the neighborhood for more than 37 years now. This is pretty unusual as far as I’m concerned," said Leslie Sudock, who also owns a small art studio right on the corner of the street where the shooting happened.

She was there when this all went down.

“I heard more than 15 (gunshots). I called the police immediately and reported that I heard upwards of 15 gunshots in rapid succession.”

Another woman who lives on the street and was home during the shooting said she heard too many gunshots to count.

She also said violence like this is rare around here, although she said there’s been more lately.

When asked if she knew any of the victims, she began to tear up for about ten seconds before saying "yes."
