Bucks County woman accused of poisoning 2-year-old son to stand trial

BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A Bucks County woman will stand trial on charges she poisoned her son.

Jennifer Clarey, 42, waived her preliminary hearing, which was scheduled for Tuesday.

She is charged with criminal homicide, accused of putting a lethal dose of the pain killer Vicodin in her 2-year-old’s sippy cup.

On Aug. 25, police found Clarey in a bed with the body of her son inside their Tullytown Home. Court documents say the boy’s body was cold to the touch, and she had what appeared to be self-inflicted wounds to her wrists.

Clarey has a formal arraignment scheduled for Jan. 18 in Doylestown.
