PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Thousands showed up for a massive party in the streets Thursday for the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation's 8th annual Chinatown Night Market.

The chilly night featured outdoor karaoke. Just steps away was a stage with live dance performances. And everywhere in between was a sea of people.

Avram Enriquez says the whole festival is quite a sight.

"Lights everywhere, sparks, some spotlights coming from the music," he said.

The sparks he's talking about are from sparklers, which were being sold at almost every corner.

You don't see this in Chinatown too often, he said.

One woman, Aurora, said she felt right at home.

"I'm Chinese, so in our country there are lots of things like this, so I really enjoy this," she said.

Food from all cultures was available. Asian arts and crafts were on display and available for purchase. And a giant dinosaur was right in the heart of it all, entertaining the crowds.
