PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — For the second time in four years, a Delaware County baseball team is playing in the Babe Ruth World Series.

The Broomall-Newtown 13-and-under team is in Mountain Home, Arkansas, on a quest to win its second title. Broomall-Newtown won it all in 2014.

Manager James McDonnell says another national championship would be great, but it's not the only thing.

"Of course, we want to win," he said, "but our main goal for these boys is to have fun and enjoy themselves. They've really bonded as a team. And to get this far at this age is a fantastic opportunity for them."

Broomall-Newtown today opens what could be a week of competition, if they keep winning. McDonnell says a GoFundMe page is set up to help the families of the 14 players defray costs of hotel, meals and transportation.
