PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The season is set to continue for the Delaware Valley University football team.

The Aggies are headed to the NCAA Division III playoffs for a third straight year. They will travel to Bridgewater, Virginia, this week for a Saturday battle with Bridgewater College in the first round.

Champions of the Middle Atlantic Conference, the Aggies are 9-1. DelVal wrapped up its regular season last weekend with a 28-21 over Widener University to grab the Keystone Cup.

Head coach Duke Greco says he is thrilled to be heading back to the postseason.

"We have a hard working group here and just a great group," he told KYW Newsradio. "Really excited for what they've accomplished. They earned a ticket to the postseason and I'm excited to see what we can do with that ticket."

The Aggies have been nationally ranked throughout the season. Currently, they are as high as 9th in the nation. Greco, who was named the MAC Coach of the Year this season, talked about what they need to do to put a postseason run together.

"Offensively, we need to clean it up a little bit," he said. "We've turned the ball over the last couple of games, fumble-wise. I think we're set up for a good run. It starts here with our defense. They do a really, really good job. To me, postseason play is running the football, playing good defense, not making mistakes, and I think that's us."

That defense is led by the MAC Defensive Player of the Year, sophomore defensive lineman Michael Nobile. He has 26.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks this season. Nobile was one of 10 Aggies to earn first team All-MAC honors.

Bridgewater brings a 10-0 record into Saturday. The Eagles are the champions of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

"Put together really well," Greco said of the Eagles. "The staff there does an excellent job. Offensively, it starts with the quarterback (Jay Scroggins), but they have a good running back (Demetreus Jalepes) and a good receiver (Trey Stephens). Defensively, they have a linebacker (Re'Shaun Myers) who is a heck of a player. They're tough. They're good."

Saturday's game will kick off at noon.
