CAMDEN, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) -- PATCO's City Hall stop will be closed beginning Friday night through the weekend for paint work.

The Camden station is closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday. Normal service will resume after crews repaint the ceiling.

"We have a lot of peeling paint on the concourse ceiling," said PATCO General Manager John Rink. "We have a contractor on board who's going to strip the paint all the way down to the concrete surface, make repairs and then repaint it."

Rink said this closure is the first of four consecutive weekends of repairs.

Less than 400 people use the City Hall stop on an average Saturday, and roughly 200 on Sundays.

Those who access the stop will be directed to PATCO's Broadway station two blocks away.
