OAKS, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) -- Artists and performers in Cirque du Soleil’s VOLTA in Montgomery County got a visit Thursday from Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders.

Eagles cheerleaders, along with team mascot Swoop, got lessons from Cirque du Soleil on Swiss rings, trampoline, and baton twirling. The twirling lessons were from World Champion and former Team USA member Jennifer Marcus, who says she loves having other people come in to learn their world.

“We’ve all taken the same journey to get to this path of being an elite artist," Marcus said, "but we really are only specialists in what we do, so it’s just fun learning from each other.”

After the lessons, cheerleader Cassandra was in awe of the talent and skill of the performers.

“It was so much fun," she said. "I was excited about the rings that actually ended up being the hardest. I think the enjoyed the trampoline the most, but again, harder than it looks.”

And of course, the cheerleaders passed on some knowledge.

“E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles! So make sure really tight, and smile, keep your chest up.”

VOLTA runs through August 16.
