PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Eagles fans in South Philadelphia shared their heartbreak as the reigning Super Bowl Champion’s season came to an end.

"I'm angry about the last play of our season on the offensive side, however the team came together very well to form this run, “said Dan Rotenberger. “It's a shame to see it come to an end this way.”

So how do fans sum up this season?

"It was more than I think most of us had hoped for,” Rotenberger said. “We're going to build. We're going to come back stronger next year."

Lamont Anderson tried his best to stay optimistic.

"I love my Birds, I'm always with them, go Birds til the end, I still bleed green baby," he said.

But there's no denying the fact that this loss stings for many.

"I'm so disappointed, I'm really hurt,” Anderson added. “My heart is really down."
