PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Eagles are taking on the Giants at Lincoln Financial Field right now, with most fans keeping the faith their birds will win a move into the playoffs despite the tough season so far.

Lifelong Eagles fan Bob hosted his weekly tailgate barbecue for family and friends, even inviting his son-in-law, a Giants fan.

"The first mistake I made was allowing my daughter to go to school in D.C.," he said. "They become open minded down there, next thing you know, they’re accepting of giants fans, redskins fans."

He also added that "yea, it’s a little bit of bad parenting on my point, I let it go a little too far. But I kind of welcomed him because I thought it would be fun to kind of rag on him."

But son-in-law Franco says he’s used to the criticism.

"They’ve been trying to convert me but it’s not going to happen. I’m outnumbered, so I let them ask me as many questions as they want but it’s not changing," he said.

Despite their differences, Bob has confidence in his team.

"We go into the playoffs with a little bit of momentum and we will see what happens," he said.
