PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Andy Reid is going back to the Super Bowl — this time, donning the Chiefs’ bright red rather than the Eagles’ classic green.

Reid coached the Eagles from 1999 to 2012 and led the team to the big game once in 2004, but they lost against the Patriots.

So this time around, will Philadelphia be cheering him on during Super Bowl 2020?

“I’m 100 percent for him. He did a lot for Philadelphia," said fan Carleigh MacWilliams at Kraftwork bar in Fishtown. “I’m rooting for him to get a Super Bowl ring. Good luck to him.”

Save a seat for Michael Tjader on the Reid bandwagon as well.

“After 14 years of having him as our coach, he caught a lot of flack and we didn't always get there, but I always root for Andy because of what he did for us and how many times we got close,” he said.

Tjader admitted that the Eagles’ Super Bowl win two years ago helped him forgive Reid for not being able to sweep a championship while in Philadelphia, but Harry Pecci thinks he would be cheering the coach on even if that didn't happen.

“Andy Reid meant a lot to us,” he said. “We always liked Andy Reid. I think we'd still be supportive. I think most people from Philly are rooting for Andy Reid.”

That actually seems to be the case. After the Chiefs beat the Titans Sunday afternoon, KYW Newsradio didn't find a single Eagles who said he or she would root against Reid.

The Kansas City Chiefs will go up against the San Francisco 49ers in Miami on Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m.
