MEDIA, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) —  A fatal fire in Delaware County leaves a neighborhood shaken up, and officials are now investigating the cause of the fire.

Charred clothing bins and other fire ravaged items now sit off to the side of the duplex apartment building at Providence and Ridge roads in Media, Pennsylvania.

"It's just sad," said Denise Pomilio, who lived in the apartment building for a number of years.

She stopped by Sunday to look at the building where she raised her kids for five years and to pay her respects, and says her heart aches for the person who died in the fire.

She adds that she does not know the person who died in the fire or any current tenant, but her heart goes out to their loved ones.

"It's just sad that a life was lost. Pray for the family," she said.

While looking at the boarded up windows and burnt brick surrounding them, Denise could not help but get a little teary-eyed.

"Sad for the people who lost all their belongings. It's just very sad," she said.
