PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- The Philadelphia Flyers will visit the New York Islanders Tuesday night with a chance to finally clinch a playoff berth.

The Flyers currently have 94 points and they will clinch a slot in the postseason if:

1. They win while Florida loses at home against Nashville.

2. They lose in overtime or in a shootout while Florida loses in regulation.

The Flyers are playing well. They just beat the Boston Bruins in overtime on Sunday at the Wells Fargo Center. They have earned at least a point in their last eight games (5-0-3). They currently are holding down the final wildcard playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Islanders have just 74 points and have long been eliminated from postseason consideration.

This will be the final road game of the regular season for the Flyers. Their final two games will be at home Thursday versus the Carolina Panthers and Saturday against the New York Rangers.
