PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Fox News has announced its support of CNN's efforts in White House press access. The media company will file a brief in court, supporting CNN's lawsuit against the Trump administration for revoking White House correspondent Jim Acosta's press credentials.

Fox News' President Jay Wallace released a statement, saying in part: "Secret Service passes for working White House journalists should never be weaponized."

It went on to say that, while Fox does not support the "antagonistic" tone of both the press and the president, it does support a free press.

Fox joins NBC News, The Associated Press, Bloomberg, Gannett, The New York Times, Politico, USA Today, The Washington Post and other outlets that also plan to file briefs supporting CNN's lawsuit, according to a release from Ballard Spahr LLP, a law firm representing the outlets.
