A group of asset management professionals known as the Philadelphia Fund Alliance raised $80,000 for a Narberth charity that grants wishes to children and young adults living with cystic fibrosis.

Every year, Bruce Leto and the alliance host a gala to benefit a chairty of their choosing.

"In 2016 we raised money for Children's Hospital," Leto said. "Last year we raised money for Cradles to Crayons, and this year it's for Take A Breather."

Hundreds showed up at The Logan Philadelphia Hotel on Thursday night for the event.

Matt McCloskey, founder of Take a Breather Foundation, said they were honored and humbled to be chosen. "It's going to make a huge impact," he said. "We're a smaller chairty."

The alliance raised the money with donations and an auction.

"And we're going to be able to pass that on to benefactors in the form of wishes," McCloskey said.
