PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Officials in Ocean City, New Jersey, say a small helicopter went down in a marshy area on Friday morning, and two people were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

It happened just after 9:30 a.m. near the Ocean City Municipal Airport.

Police say the occupants were 62-year-old Harvey Schubart of Doylestown, and 64-year-old Carol Gray of Bear, Delaware. Schubart is a flight instuctor and owner of the helicopter. Gray is his student.

Schubart told police he was teaching Gray how to hover, when they lost control of the chopper and it made a hard landing in the marsh.
