PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A New Hampshire driver found out why you should never drive with a kid on your lap.

New Hampshire police pulled over a woman who was using a cell phone while driving only to find that she also had a baby goat on her lap.

How do you even see your cell phone with a goat in the way - not to mention the road? How many air fresheners does it take to remove the smell of goat?

We can all agree that she's wacky.

And yet, an AAA survey found that 21 percent of drivers who had a dog in the car admitted to keeping the dog on their lap while driving. Some states like New Jersey have laws forbidding unrestrained pets in the car and drivers there face a $1,000 fine.

Even in states with no laws specific to pets in the car, you can still be charged with distracted driving, and there's no state that explicitly prevents you from using your common sense to tell you to put the phone down, the animal in a carrier, and the Febreze nearby.
