PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The La Salle University men's basketball team is down in North Carolina for a road Atlantic 10 battle with Davidson Tuesday night.

The Explorers are 13-13 (4-10 A-10) on the season and looking for a third straight win. Last time out, the Explorers beat George Washington on the road Saturday 72-62.

Head coach Ashley Howard talked to KYW Newsradio about what's been the key for his team the last couple of weeks.

"I think the biggest thing is our team is healthy," he said. "Now that we're healthy and we've gotten a couple weeks of, not just games, but practice under our belt where the guys who have been out are now back in game shape, I think it gives us some really good depth and it gives us some versatility to adjust our different defensive schemes and do some of the things that we want to do on the defensive end," he said.

The Explorers will face a Davidson team that is 14-12 (8-6 A-10). The Wildcats have won seven of their last 10.

"They are one of the best three-point shooting teams" — in the Atlantic 10 at 37% — "and I believe we're one of the best teams in the league at defending the three," Howard said. Opponents shoot just 30%.

"So it will be a really cool battle of those guys being a high powered perimeter offense and us just trying to stay at home on shooters and guard them and not give them open looks," he added.

Last season, La Salle beat Davidson at Gola Arena, 79-69.

Tuesday night's game gets underway at 7:00 p.m.
