PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Kids from throughout the city were invited to participate in a fun-filled day of arts and crafts in the courtyard at City Hall.

During the third annual Make Art Philly, artists from more than a dozen disciplines came to help make it a memorable day for the kids.

"[From> doing Claymation, to groups making art out of bubbles, to people silk screening. We have a little bit of everything for all kids under the age of 12," said Kelly Lee, the city's chief cultural officer, who helped organize the event.

"There are summer camps that are here," she added. "Some of the coordinators are meeting some arts organizations for the first time and they can continue that relationship long after Make Art Philly."

Five-year-old Olivia had a handful of completed projects and a huge smile on her face.

"I made a flower lantern. There's a whole bunch of crafts."
