NORRISTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A 26-year-old Montgomery County man has been charged with killing his mother’s boyfriend in their Upper Dublin home.

Jules Ross Jr. is facing a first-degree murder charge as he is accused of stabbing 49-year-old Johnny Johnson in the neck.

When police got to the Girard Avenue home around 5 a.m. Saturday, Johnson’s girlfriend, Chiquita Brown, told police her son stabbed Johnson. According to the affidavit of probable cause, Brown told police she and Johnson were arguing and her son knocked on the door, telling them to "cut the noise."

She told police the argument continued for several minutes, and as she walked out of the bedroom, she said she saw her son charge in, saying, "You hitting my mom." As Johnson yelled for help, she realized he was stabbed in the neck, and she said her son was holding a knife.

The affidavit, however, shows Ross told police a different story. He said he kicked the door in and saw Johnson standing over his mother as she was sitting on the bed. He said Johnson started swinging at him, and that’s when he stabbed him.
