Man shot, killed during home invasion in Collegeville is identified

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office has released the name of the 55-year-old who was shot and killed in Collegeville Saturday night.

Robert Pollock of Schwenksville was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds, according to the coroner.

Authorities say Pollock tried to force his way into a house on East Third Avenue around 11:30 p.m., and he was shot by a resident of the home.

Investigators are not saying if there is any connection between Pollock and the residents of the home.

No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
