Man left hospitalized after being stuck by SEPTA bus, officials say

A SEPTA consultant is recommending the transit agency look at several ways to improve its bus network.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Officials say a man is in the hospital after he was stuck by a SEPTA bus in West Oak Lane section of the city.

The accident took place just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday along the 400 block of Oak Lane.

Officials say the victim, an unidentified male, was struck by the Route 70 bus as it was turning on to Cheltenham Avenue.

The man was transported to Einstein Medical Center with head injuries, according to officials.

There is no word on his condition at this time.

Philadelphia AID has confirmed to KYW Newsradio that they are now investigating the accident.
